Rusty: ID#A334860
4-year-old male neutered German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd lovers, you won’t want to miss this dog!

Rusty is a total love bug who would like nothing more than to snuggle up with you for a nap. He would also love to go for walks or hikes, and he highly appreciates a good “sniffari.”

When his original owner could no longer care for him, Rusty lived in a home with multiple kids. His favorite roommate was an 11-year-old who he got to sleep with every night! He also lived with a senior Labrador Retriever and has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter. With a proper introduction, he could do great with another dog in the home. While he doesn’t seem to care for big, high-energy play—he’s much more of a people lover—he would likely do well cohabitating with another calm canine. However, he does like to chase cats and other prey, so he will need a home without felines.

Rusty is well past the puppy phase, is totally potty trained, and promises to be an amazing companion. He would be the perfect work-from-home buddy or after-work activity partner.
