Purchasing or Renewing a Santa Cruz County Pet License

Follow these steps to purchase or renew your dog license BY MAIL
1. Download the Santa Cruz County Dog License Application Form
2. Print out and fill in your downloaded PDF form
3. Mail in your completed application form along with the license fee payment to:

4. Remember to include the proof of spay/neuter certificate if applicable
You can purchase or renew your dog license at either of our shelter locations.
Please bring the following:
- Identification
- Current rabies vaccination certificate which should list your animal’s microchip (if they have one) and your animal’s spay/neuter status (spayed, neutered, or unaltered)
- The certificate should list YOU as the animal owner of the individual animal. If it does not, we will need some proof of ownership that links you with the animal.
